Welcome to this week’s slice of Sussex.
Forgive me, because I am probably a little over-excited. There is just so much going on in Sussex at the moment that it’s hard to keep up and enjoy it all. Of course, top of the list at this time of the year here at SE HQ has to be taking a moment to enjoy Sussex Day on the 16th of June. And with your help, we’ve put together a list of the most Sussexy things to do in order to honour it. Enjoy.
This week, I revisited Bexhill and was struck once again by what an interesting little town it is and how exotic it looks with the sunshine beaming off the Colonnade. It’s got a fantastic museum and a really quirky backstory and I’ve put together a list of some of the things we found to do.
I first visited The Beach Café in Littlehampton in the dead of winter and hadn’t realised quite how much they’ve got going on there. So I was delighted to head back last week and start my day with pilates on their roof terrace overlooking the sea, followed by a quick dip, a great coffee, and a hearty breakfast. Honestly, is there any better way to start the day?
And let’s not forget, Sussex PYO season is nearly upon us (in fact some farms have already opened). What’s not to love about handpicked fruit and a glass of Sussex wine on a summer evening?
That’s it for now. Take care.
