Last Sunday I was floating gently in the sea at Tide Mills near Newhaven in what felt like intense summer sunshine. Within days, autumn mists greeted me on my morning walks and I drove home one evening to golden leaves cascading down. In the blink of an eye, autumn is definitely upon us!
But there is so much to celebrate in Sussex at this time of year. It’s lovely to see the local vineyards getting ready for harvest, and I’m super excited to be part of the Bubbles and Botanicals Fair event again this year – it’s on the 25th of November at South Lodge & a great chance to meet local producers and try their wares.
Sussex is also a great place to catch those gorgeous autumn colours so have a look at the last of this year’s NGS gardens or book your ticket to visit Sheffield Park and soak up the moment.
Hard as it is to believe, it’s also nearly pumpkin season and so we have details of the Sussex PYO pumpkin farms.
