Sussex Christmas markets, recipes, Knepp Castle & some magic!

Welcome to this week’s newsletter, where it’s beginning to feel a bit like Christmas.

With less than a month to go, I think we can officially declare Christmas 2021 open! That said, I don’t know about you but some of this week’s cold weather caught me slightly by surprise … although I do like a fresh, frosty morning!

As usual, I’ve been out and about exploring this week. Knepp Castle and its estate are one of our great Sussex spaces with lots of wildlife and some great historical connections. If you’re looking for a good Sussex walk, you could do a lot worse.

Whether you’ve nearly finished your Sussex Christmas shopping, or barely started, local markets are always a wonderful source of ideas and full of atmosphere. So have a look at these 8 Christmas markets from across our region to help you get into the spirit.

And if you really want to ramp up the festive vibes, there’s surely no better way than a trip to the magical illuminations at Leonardslee where you can step out of this world, and into another.

Meanwhile, back on planet earth, our health expert has been focussing on Raynaud’s Disease. As a sufferer of this, I get caught out every winter but we’ve got some great advice to help you manage it.

Finally, Christmas for me is synonymous with good food and my stomach is already rumbling. Which is why I’m delighted to be able to share our 12 days of foodie Sussex Christmas ideas. Easy, tasty, and a little bit different, they should keep us well fuelled and feeling festive for the rest of the year!

And finally, finally, don’t forget this week is your last chance to enter our Mediaeval Baebes draw to win tickets to their Christmas concert in Horsham. Details of how to enter are here.

That’s it for now. Have a good one and see you next week.
