Welcome to the weekend and this week’s jam-packed newsletter.
What a week! I’ve been from east to west, walked about 25 miles, and enjoyed some real highs (and a couple of lows). Highs have to include lunch at The Chequers in Rowhook and walking the coastal path between Newhaven and Peacehaven on a gloriously sunny day (as part of the newly opened Sussex section of the England Coast Path). For the lows … well let’s not mention the Newhaven industrial estate!
Not so much of a high, as a rare moment of calm, was my visit to the Chithurst Monastery near Midhurst, which whilst not for everyone, is certainly a very special place. And it’s always a pleasure to touch base with Geoff Stonebanks from the NGS who has shared some more of the stunning Sussex gardens now open to visitors.
In other news, our health consultant has some advice for anyone struggling with hives, and please don’t forget to check out our free magazine if you haven’t already (and even if you have):
That’s it for now, I kid you not, I’m off on my bike next, to help taste some local wines (don’t worry, it’s a cross-country route so I pose no danger to anyone but myself!).
Have a great weekend.
