Make the most of the last of the summer with some of these tasty treats.
This week has been all about meeting some of the incredible people of Sussex. It was such a privilege to spend time with Roger and Peter at their beautiful home, St Mary’s, and to learn more about its amazing history. Equally delightful was time spent with artist in residence Claire Fearon. She seems to have both wisdom and talent in spades.
Anyone who knows me, knows I like my Sussex food and drink and so I couldn’t help but head over to Borde Hill this week to sniff out some tasty treats at the Sussex Food and Drink Revival event. We really do have some great local produce, producers and markets in Sussex and you’ll find a few suggestions of things to try as well as the winners in our brief review.
I’m also just a tiny bit smitten with Eastbourne at the moment, and if you’re looking for some live music why not head down there for some of their events at the bandstand. In October, it’s time to rock!
Apart from all that, we have more advice from our health expert … this month, it’s all about snoring, a subject close to my heart.
After a week of fabulous weather in Sussex (and yes, more to come about this week’s sea swim adventure soon), it’s a timely reminder to get out there and enjoy things before the autumn really sets in.
That’s it for now. Have a great weekend!
