Welcome to this week’s newsletter, bringing you a heap of wholesome ideas for enjoying the autumn.
Last week’s sunrise walks have already morphed into darkness as the days get shorter and we hurtle full throttle towards the end of the year. But I do think that autumn is a great time for enjoying life’s simple pleasures and getting out and about. And you may be able to tell that two of my greatest pleasures include dog walking and gin!
So this week, I’ve been out exploring again. I managed to catch up with the Sompting Village Morris and their Conker Festival in Ferring and I’ll share some of the highlights of that on the blog, but I’ve also been re-visiting some of my favourite dog walks, carving homemade pumpkins and taste testing gin. It’s a dirty job, as they say, and not one I take lightly.
I loved the gang down at Brighton Gin, they were so warm and welcoming as well as passionate about what they do. And having not visited either St Leonards or Bexhill on Sea for a long time, it was great to see them both looking, well quite frankly…exotic in the autumn sunshine as I took to the Bulverhythe Coastal Link.
The weather is so strange at the moment, I can’t decide if I need a t-shirt or galoshes or both perhaps, but I’m off now to sniff out some bonfires for next week. Have a great weekend.
