Wecome to this week’s newsletter, a place to escape from politics and Covid, and savour the best of Sussex.
It’s been another whirlwind week of frosty sunrises and Sussex adventuring here at Sussex Exclusive. One of the things I love about Sussex is that little corners here often throw up lots of intrigue and interest. For example, I set off to Highdown Hill near Worthing with low expectations – I just fancied a walk. But it’s an absolute treasure trove of interest as well as having some spectacular views and a strong sense of the mystic. I’ll definitely be going back!
I also love some of the amazing places to stay in and around Petworth including a castle, a railway carriage, and a shepherd’s hut! How lush are they!
And isn’t it fabulous when you join the little dots in our county? After a visit to Horsham Museum and a bit of a delve into Horsham’s gingerbread past, I found myself munching on cheese biscuits made by the same company who make the original Percy Bysshe Shelley gingerbread as part of our SE CheeseFest and celebration of National Cheese Lovers Day. And what a feast that was.
Well, that’s it for now, I’m off in search of wine and indigestion tablets. Do let us know your favourite cheese and please feel free to share this newsletter with others.
Have a great weekend.
