Welcome to this week’s newsletter and some bloomin’ marvelous treats!
After two weeks of out-of-county adventuring, I’m mighty glad to be back in Sussex and even gladder to hear rumours of a heatwave on its way. Possibly as soon as this weekend! Sussex always looks beautiful but during May in the sunshine, it’s particularly special.
This month, our featured town is Midhurst and we’re kicking that off with some of the better known as well as some of the not so well-known things to do in that area. May is also the beginning of rhododendron season and they seem to be blooming early this year, so catch some of our recommended rhodie hotspots if you can.
Beachy Head is always worth a visit and I’m loving their visitor centre which seems to have a regular schedule of quirky events. They’ve just opened a new “trip down memory lane” exhibition which makes a nice start to any walk in that area. Finally, I’ve been eating again…this time at The Cabin on the Downs Link as another one of our Pitts-Stop.
That’s it for now. Don’t forget you can read our magazine here and as always, it’s free and please feel free to share.
Have a great weekend.
