24 Christmas ideas, chestnuts, wine & windows!

Well as we rattle towards December at brake neck speed, the last seven days in Sussex have certainly been bumpy. Battered by Storm Bert, the temperature gauge seems to be attached to a yoyo and we’ve had a heady mix of rain, snow, wind and sunshine.

But us Sussex folk shall not let that dampen our spirits because there is lots to enjoy. This Sunday sees the start of our 24 days of Christmas. There is something for every day but some things do need booking so take a look to see what you might fancy.

Horsham District is hosting a festive window competition and there is lots going on in Horsham and the surrounding towns so why not enjoy a little Christmas shopping and take a look at the many displays (oh, and vote for your favourite).

In the kitchen, Sarah Thompson has some amazing chestnut drinks for you to make from cocktails and punch to latte and hot chocolate, while Emma Hodges has some perfect Christmas wine pairings for you to try.

Don’t forget, if you’re looking for Christmas gift ideas, we have a few suggestions. Local businesses have had such a tough time of it recently, they really need our support.

And last but not least, it’s that time of the month when our Sussex heath expert has some advice for sufferers of endometriosis

That’s it for now, I hope you manage to stay warm, dry and safe!
