Meet the team

Peter Benner
Retired solicitor and local historian, Peter Benner has lived in Sussex for 75 years. A member of the Sussex Archaeological Society since 1956, he has a lifelong interest in Sussex Wealden Iron and over the years has taken part in archaeological digs, research groups as well as building a 400 strong collection of books about Sussex (some of which date back to the seventeenth century). His specialisms also include transport, and Sussex culture.

Lisa Brace
Lisa Brace is a trained journalist and feature writer with over 20 years’ experience across a wide range of sectors. She has a huge passion for celebrating Sussex food and drink and has a contact book bursting with amazing producers who have incredible stories she can’t wait to share.

Daisy Thomas
Daisy Thomas is a blogger and writer who moved to Sussex in 2018. Since relocating to Sussex, Daisy has moved to the country and discovered a huge passion for her new home and loves to celebrate local food, produce, businesses, and communities. She also often writes about the ‘realities’ of living in the country and her new home, and likes to write honestly about the challenges we all face even when living in such a beautiful part of the world.

Stuart Richie
Stuart Ritchie: Stuart Ritchie is a chartered accountant and chartered tax advisor with over 35 years’ experience having specialised in private client taxation and in helping individuals and families all his career. Paul Hitchcock
Following a career that included senior leadership in health, Paul writes and takes photographs in his home county of Sussex. He was born in the West and now lives in the East although he spent many years as an exile in Gloucestershire. He is passionate about food and motorcycles.

Rosie Collins
With an Exeter English Literature degree and longtime West Sussex resident, Rosie Collins is keenly beginning her writing career with a deeper exploration into the county she loves. She has experience working in schools and is particularly interested in highlighting the smaller places and events that tie close-knit communities together. She also enjoys discovering the perfect dog-walks.

Janine Marsh
Janine Marsh is an award-winning travel writer, author of the best-selling books My Good Life in France and My Four Seasons in France and a member of the British Guild of Travel Writers. When not exploring and writing about Sussex, she is a maid to 72 animals, bakes cakes and is editor of www.thegoodlifefrance.com.

Lucy Pitts
Lucy Pitts: Following a successful career as a barrister, Lucy retrained as a copywriter and journalist in 2011. Since then, she has worked with and written for a large number of Sussex businesses as well as media publications, both print based and digital. In 2018 She took up the position of editor of Fine Sussex and Surrey Magazine. Lucy is also well known for her public speaking and work with the Association of Speakers Clubs
