A taste of India
Join a team of expert international chefs at Zari Restaurant for an Indian cookery masterclass. The team at Zari are passionate about the provenance of their recipes and the culture and history that sits behind them. They will teach you some of the secrets that go into creating an authentic Indian meal from scratch along with sharing the culture, traditions and flavours that make Indian cuisine so extraordinary.

As the Zari international chefs take you on an Indian culinary journey of discovery, you will learn how to prepare your own aromatic Garam Masala the Zari way, discover secret Indian marinating techniques and learn the key to harnessing the power of Indian spices to infuse your dishes with bold and authentic flavours. Whether you’re a couple looking for a special experience together, a novice cook eager to learn the fundamentals or a seasoned home chef looking to expand your culinary repertoire, you’ll join the expert Zari chefs in their kitchen and learn techniques that bring new flavours and tenderness to your dishes.

The perfect Afternoon Tea or as sweet as honey
Join Miranda Gore Browne at Parham House. Miranda was a finalist on the first series of the BBC’s Great British Bake Off. Parham House is of course a stunning Elizabethan mansion, built in 1557 and set at the foot of the South Downs in the midst of its beautiful gardens and parklands. Miranda’s honey masterclass with demonstrations which focus on the joys and benefits of honey. Cooking, Baking and the Joys and Benefits of Honey, is a masterclass with Louisa’s Honey, demonstrations with Valentina and a delicious honey inspired lunch cooked by Valentina and Miranda.

Parham House has a history that dates back to the 16th century and is one of the great houses of Sussex. The house is beautiful in its own right but also has a fabulous collection of furniture, paintings, books, textiles and clocks. When you’ve finished in the house, view the gardens which include seven acres of Pleasure Grounds, laid out in the 18th century, with a lake, a old four-acre Walled Garden, a 1920s Wendy House and a 1920s greenhouse.

A bakers dozen
The Artisan Bakehouse is the place to go to place if you want to learn the art of baking. Hidden down a country track and right on the edge of the South Downs National Park, the folks here specialise in bread making of all dimensions: sour dough, Mediterranean breads, wholemeal, ryes, malthouses, pastries and croissants and even gluten free bread. Their cookery workshops are hands on and fun, and the bakehouse has a traditional wood burning oven. Suitable for anyone, why not try their introduction to bread making that includes refreshments, a homemade set two course lunch with wine, beer or soft drinks and tea/coffee to finish.
