A canal walk, seaside dining, Martello towers & things to do in June

I’ve been very busy, dodging squally weather and hopping from east to west Sussex. In fact, I’ve ridden the Lavender Line (a heritage railway) and walked the Selsey Tram Way so I am buzzing with ideas and can report that Sussex is looking fabulous. There is so much going on it’s hard to keep up.

While I catch my breath, this week, there is a slightly watery theme to the newsletter. I have some lovely suggestions if you want to go and sit by the sea and enjoy something to eat, whether that’s just a slice of cake with coffee or a full blown meal. I’ve also got a Martello tower trail for you. Top tip, if you don’t have time to do the full trail, do the section from Norman’s Bay to Sovereign Harbour.

If you’re in West Sussex and fancy an easy walk with lots of history and wildlife, head to the Loxwood Canal (there is a pub there too) and finally, why not fill your June calendar with some of the fantastic events that are coming up.

That’s it for now. Have a good one.
