Just two weeks ago, I was writing about the baked earth and burnt landscape of Sussex. How things have changed, and this week has been a week of flippers and snorkels as Sussex has “enjoyed” monsoon style rain. Permission is granted to put the heating on.
If you are sheltering from the storms, why not make some Sussex plans. A visit to Chichester is always worthwhile, there is so much to do and it’s a beautiful city. The Loder Trail is our very own two day autumn garden extravaganza that follows in the footsteps of one incredible family.
Relatively new to Sussex, taking part in the wine harvest and grape picking is fast becoming a rather sublime way of getting to know the county’s wine heritage and there are lots of different ways you can experience it.
Finally, calling all runners. This month sees a memorial run that celebrates a Sussex legend, Alf Shrubb. His was quite a story.
That’s it. I hope you manage to stay dry but I also hope to see you out and about.
