Bonfires, ancient trees & priories, cocktails & immersive games

Well, it’s been a funny old week in Sussex. We’ve had torrential rain, wind, frost, mist, sunshine and blue skies, and I don’t know whether to put the heating on or sit in a deck chair!

I also went to Butlin’s for the first time! They have a new PLAYXPERIENCE. I have to admit, it was brilliant fun trying all the new interactive games and what a fantastic resource for families in Sussex.

At the other end of the Sussex spectrum, last month, I visited Wilmington Priory and the ancient yew tree next door. The tree dates back 1600 years and was also fully immersive in its own unique way.

As it’s nearly Halloween, our cocktail maker has a spooky cocktail that looks great but is not for the faint hearted! I dare you to try the chilli rim! And while we’re feeling seasonal, I have a round up of some of the many bonfire events that are taking place around the county. Do check before travelling as a few have been cancelled already and the rain is a problem!

Finally, if you haven’t already, don’t forget to book your tickets to Bubbles and Botanicals! There is a great line up of Sussex drink producers this year!

That’s it for now, have a good weekend.
