Don’t tell anyone, but I have temporarily left Sussex. Not for long, and I am already itching to get back, but I did do plenty of exploring before I left to help keep you busy. And I left you a heatwave – you’re welcome.
If you’re planning a short summer break, our four-day Castle to Coast itinerary could be just the ticket. No car is required and it takes you to four stunning and significant Sussex castles, via historic towns and beautiful countryside.
If you fancy something a little less on the beaten track, try this week’s walk /cycle ride between Eridge and Groombridge. This corner of Sussex feels very undiscovered and there are lots of points of interest along this route.
For those who love their food and drink, as Arundel is our town of the month, I hunted down some of the foods and flavours of the town.
And finally, we have so many wonderful and fascinating buildings in Sussex, I thought it would be interesting to shine a spotlight on some of them, starting with the magnificent Saltdean Lido. An amazing project and a good place to cool down.
That’s it for now. I’ll be firmly back in Sussex by the time you read this!
