Discover, explore and savour the best of Sussex

Christmas wreaths, Shoreham foodies & Ashdown Afternoon Tea & walks

newsletterIt’s been another soggy week in my corner of Sussex. But what we’ve lacked in sunshine we have made up for in magnificent autumn colours. I think they must be at their pinnacle at the moment and the watery skies only seem to highlight their brilliance.

I’ve been over to Ashdown Forest this week and it didn’t disappoint. A Sussex Afternoon Tea at Ashdown Park Hotel has to be one of the best ways to shelter from the rain (or to recover from a downpour) and by the time we’d finished, the sun was out …perfect for a quick forest bimble!

I’ve also been back to Shoreham sniffing out tasty treats for the gourmands amongst you. And there is plenty to nibble on!

Finally, embracing what seems to be a new passion in the county for wreath making, I’ve got 20 Christmas wreath making workshops from across the county for you. Lots of them might also just happen to involve mulled wine, bubbles and mince pies.

And talking of bubbles, don’t forget, next week is the Bubbles and Botanicals Fair – a coming together of 15 local wine and craft spirit producers and a chance to try, buy and meet the producers.  It’s a great afternoon and you can find the details and grab your tickets here: Bubbles and Botanicals
