Cuckoos, islands, food trails & strange things

What a week! As I type, the rain is gently falling (who am I kidding, it’s chucking it down!). But this hasn’t put me off my stride.

To keep you inspired, I’ve been back to Thorney Island – reopened after a prolonged closure and looking jaw-droppingly stunning. I’ve also been out and about exploring Heathfield and the surrounding area as our town of the month – think cuckoos and abandoned Victorian bridges!

And because we all love food, especially Sussex food, I’ve got a lovely food trail for you with side helpings of folklore and tradition. Finally, if you’re looking for strange little soundbites, I have a round up of some of the stranger things I’ve visited in the last few months (including a little bit of Arundel in France).

That’s it for now. I’m back on the road tomorrow, heading east again, so do say hello if our paths cross.

Have a good one.
