Discovering Pulborough & NGS gardens, and enjoying food, drink & art festivals!

Another bank holiday weekend! How fabulous. What are your plans? If you haven’t made any yet, I’ve got lots and lots of ideas for you.

First up, it’s time for Geoff’s round up of NGS gardens open this month. This is such a great initiative and a rare chance to have a look round places you might never otherwise see. I’m always amazed by the amount of talent we have in Sussex, and local art trails are another great initiative and a way to meet local makers and learn more about their skills and crafts.

In a similar vein, Sussex produces some fantastic food and drink and so many producers invest their heart and soul in doing so. There can surely be no greater pleasure than enjoying the fruits of their labours, particularly on a sunny summer day with a food and drink festival vibe.

And finally, I’ve been back to Pulborough for another good look round. You don’t have to walk the full distance I did, but by getting off the beaten track a little, I learnt so much about the town’s history and what it must have been like way back when.

That’s it for now. Let’s hope for a bank holiday of wall to wall sunshine.

Take care.
