Discover, explore and savour the best of Sussex

Dog friendly Hove, Boxgrove Priory, new skills & Blood Brothers

Welcome to this week’s Sussex soundbites.

I’ve been out and about exploring again this week and I’ve enjoyed a mixture of torrential rain and sunshine. Which is a slight improvement on last week which was just rain.

As our town of the month, it’s always a joy to visit Hove, especially with my dog who is a particularly social beast. So this week I’ve been checking out dog-friendly places and things to do there. And there are lots!

I’ve also been west to Boxgrove Priory right on the edge of the Tinwood vineyards and not far from Halnaker Windmill. These beautiful ruins are well worth including in a visit to this part of the world.

And because I am a sucker for a course and a qualification, I’ve also been checking out courses and adult learning opportunities in Sussex. There’s so much to get stuck into whether you’re a crafter, painter, cook or writer.

Meanwhile, last week Daisy Thomas headed to the White Rock Theatre in Hastings to see Blood Brothers. On all accounts, it’s an absolutely cracking production and she’s shared her review.

That’s it for now. Have a great weekend.
