Fabulous Christmas experiences, an Art Deco café, a ramble & Rye Castle

Soggy? Just a bit! I don’t know about you but this week has involved a lot of getting wet! I got caught in an absolute deluge at Shoreham Fort, nearly drowned on several walks, and had to sacrifice my co-pilot to a large puddle (I needed her to check how deep it was before I drove through it!). Luckily, the sun came out and it was a glorious autumn day for the annual London to Brighton veteran car rally last Sunday and I’ve shared some great photos of that over on social media.

In other news, the gloves are well and truly off when it comes to Christmas and I have a selection of wonderful Christmas experiences for you to fill the next few weeks with.

And if you’re looking for things to do while it rains, why not try a mooch around Rye Castle, or coffee, cake, and a tour at Shoreham Airport’s Art Deco Hummingbird café?

Finally, if the bad weather doesn’t deter you, then try this week’s fascinating Tillington to Cowdray Park walk or head over to the Seven Sisters. I have the last installment of my South Downs Way walk and I’ve included a link to another walk you can do which makes this last section into a stunning circular walk.

That’s it for now. Off to find my galoshes.

Take care.
