Festive food, a Tudor Christmas, Sussex gift ideas & Sussex cycle paths

What a week! As I type, it’s snowing in parts of Sussex and it has certainly been a bracingly cold week!

The cold weather made a trip to the Weald and Downland Living Museum even more atmospheric and I loved learning about a Tudor Christmas in their Winkhurst Tudor kitchen. Definitely food for thought if you’ll excuse the pun!

While we’re talking about Christmas, I have two more of Sarah Thompson’s mouthwatering festive chestnut recipes for you: risotto, followed by chocolate cake! That should keep us all warm. And as we head towards December, I also have a number of uniquely Sussex Christmas gift ideas.

Finally, with all the over indulgence on the horizon, I thought you might like to get out and about for some exercise so I have a round up of Sussex cycle routes for you. I hope there is something for everyone, with some short and completely off road routes for you and the family and some longer, more diverse options.

The forecast for the weekend is warmer but also wild so I think I may batten down the hatches and try that risotto!

Stay warm and have a good one!
