Finches is a three-bedroom holiday cottage set within 12 acres of Wealden countryside in the county of East Sussex with views over neighbouring fields and woodlands. Within the surrounding land are a smallholding with chickens, runner ducks and Pygmy goats and a small garden nursery and tea rooms. The detached cottage has three bedrooms, one king-size, a twin room, and a room with bunk beds. An open plan lounge, dinner and kitchen with patio doors out onto a decking area and private garden with access onto a 10-acre field with south-westerly views and beautiful sunsets.
Traditional Sussex holidays
There is a distinctly Miss Marple / old English feel to a holiday here with the historic village of Mayfield 2 miles away and Royal Tunbridge Wells within a 15 minutes drive. The area is lucky to have numerous National Trust properties such as Bateman’s gardens (11 miles), Standen House (13 miles), Scotney Castle (12 miles), and Sheffield Park all nearby. Ashdown Forest and home of Winnie the Pooh is also within easy reach and Hever and Bodiam Castles are also around 30 minutes away. It makes Finches an ideal base for exploring our great Sussex heritage.
Dogs are welcome and with the option for daycare whilst you explore the area and the owners also offer a dining at home option where they provide a fully prepared dinner to enjoy after a day out.
