Foodie hotspots, abandoned houses, a forgotten harbour & the Great Gatsby!

Wow! That was a soggy one. I’ve been half expecting an ark to sail past my window.

But despite the rain I’ve managed to get out and about and catch a few rare moments of sunshine. Last week I returned to Pagham Harbour. It’s such a quiet stretch of the Sussex coast but has such an incredible history, as well as being a great spot for a walk.

I was also genuinely amazed when I headed over to Buxted Park Hotel at the weekend that the sun came as I arrived and shone all afternoon! It highlighted an incredible weekend and if this event is anything to go by, I would wholeheartedly recommend any future events they host. It was very special and I am very grateful for the invitation.

Back in the spring, when I walked the Chalk Stone Trail with Rural Strides, we came across the ruins of a cottage. It’s in a hopelessly pretty spot, and I’ve been trying to find out more about it ever since because it presents a bit of a mystery. Any further insights welcome.

Finally, calling all foodies, as I have been sniffing out worthy and interesting foodie hotspots in and around Billingshurst. After all, who doesn’t love good food and drink?

That’s it for now. Keep dry and have a good one.
