Wow, after last week’s freezing temperatures, this week we’ve been blown all over the place in my corner of Sussex. This winter is certainly giving us a run for our money but the days are getting longer!
And fear not, as we have a splendidly quirky collection of Sussex soundbites for you this week.
I’m already on the lookout for snowdrops as the first sign of spring but I am also delighted that some NGS gardens are re-opening in February. This week Geoff Stonebanks has the details.
As part of my meanderings, last year, I visited both the Devil’s Humps and the Devil’s Jumps in West Sussex. Not far part, they’re full of mystique and folklore, as well as having great views!
As Hurstpierpoint is our town of the month, a walk up Wolstonbury Hill is a real must and one of my favourite walks of last year (yes, I know, they’re all my favourite!).
And whilst bimbling about in East Sussex recently, I revisited Lullington and the smallest church in Sussex. There is lots to see in this corner of the county but a little deviation to see the church is worth it. It’s tiny!
Finally, as it’s the end of the month, that means it’s time for our health expert who this month takes a look at Metabolic Syndrome. It’s surprisingly common.
That’s it for now. I’m back on the road this weekend, so maybe see you out and about.
Take care.
