Ok, so the weather isn’t quite as warm as we’d like (and I might actually be wrapped in a blanket as I type and bracing for heavy rain, but let it not dampen our collective spirit. Sussex is still gorgeous and there is lots to enjoy at the moment. Even if you need an extra layer … or three.
Last week, I spent a glorious couple of days exploring Chichester Harbour. It actually started with an interview with BBC Sussex on Thorney Island but as I was in that part of the world, I stayed on to explore. The tiny Itchenor ferry was a real highlight of my Sussex island hopping.
I’ve also been back over to Rottingdean as our town of the month for a walk, and to see the windmill. And I have been back to Wakehurst, to learn more about their summer art programme, Meadowlands and their most recent art installations.
As it’s not long until July, I have a round up for you of some of the things going on next month, that might tickle your fancy.
And let’s not forget that on Sunday, it’s not just Father’s Day but also Sussex Day, and a chance to celebrate all that is wonderful about our county. Enjoy.
Right, now where is my winter coat and wellies?
Take care.
