Jazz, poets, cycling and exploring

I have a fabulously diverse line up of ideas for you this week, and over the next few months, you are going to be spoilt for choice.

While the weather is still warm, why not get up on the Downs with a Ride and Dine experience – this is easy riding, a chance to explore the fabulous Downs, all followed by a Michelin standard lunch. Or head over to Chichester and explore some of the many things to do in the area – which will take you from Romans to racing and planes.

If you are more of a cerebral type, Hastings Literary Festival kicks off this weekend and I caught up with some of the contributors to a new anthology of poems all with a link to the town (and thereabouts). I am a big fan of Hastings which is an incredibly creative town and this anthology just oozes with atmosphere.

At the other end of the county, Midhurst is going to be hosting a brand new jazz, food and blues festival in November. I had a chat with the organiser recently and it sounds fantastic. I am going to work with them to put together a special itinerary, so watch this space as there will be more details in due course.

That’s it for now, I’m off to Goodwood Revival in my best 1950s frock! Let’s hope it doesn’t rain.
