Lakes, tulips, wine and a wildlife tour

At the time of writing, the sky is blue and my head is filled with a vision of brightly coloured tulips. I have been bleating on about spring for weeks but it really is within our grasp now.

If you follow Sussex Exclusive on social media, you’ll know that over the last few weeks, I have been out and about searching for wildlife. I found much more than I was expecting and have put together a self guided wildlife tour for you – you can walk it or catch the train.

I also caught up with Martin Duncan, Head Gardener at Arundel Castle to talk about tulips and the forthcoming tulip festival there. It’s a conversation that was filled with joy.

While I was doing that, wine aficionado, Emma Hodges was slurping her way through some classy sparkling wine at the county’s only high street tasting room.

Finally, back in January, I met up with Simon Furber from BBC Sussex and went adventuring. We finished our day at Lake Wood near Uckfield. It makes a short but intriguing walk.

That’s it for now. Take care.
