Discover, explore and savour the best of Sussex

Medieval battles, gorgeous antiques, afternoon tea & a Sussex author

I’m alive!

Last week’s 50 km Ultra from Horsham to Hove was epic on a grand scale. We hit some truly horrendous weather as we jogged along the ridge of the Downs from Upper Beeding to the Chattri Memorial in our shorts and T-shirts. But we made it to the finish line and it was an amazing experience! Already planning the next one!

In other news, to recover from the race, I headed to Tottington Manor near Steyning to sample their afternoon tea. It did not disappoint. I also caught up with new Sussex author, Rosanna Rosling, to find out more about her new book, Spinning the Plates.

If you are looking for things to do, well look no further. In Petworth  Park, you’ll find the gorgeous Antiques and Fine Art Fair (next weekend) with some incredible items on display. And if you’d like free tickets – hop on over to our social media and let me know.

Finally, if history is your thing, head over to Lewes this weekend for the Battle of Lewes re-enactment and a mooch around Lewes Priory. I may see you there.

That’s it for now. Let’s hope for less rain and more sunshine this weekend. Take care.
