I hope you have all enjoyed some of the lovely Sussex weather this week and had a chance to explore. August is one of my favourite months. Everything seems to slow down a little bit as we reach the pinnacle of summer.
With this in mind, how about heading to the beach? I recently had a romp around Camber Sands. If you don’t live in that area, I always think it feels wonderfully remote and there is lots to do, whether you want to relax on the beach or explore local history and walks.
At the other end of the county, how about searching out some of the sculptures that form part of the Heathland Trail? Most of them are to be found on the Serpent Trail, but you’ll find the cricket at Pulborough Brooks.
After all the exploring, there is a lot to be said for some over indulgence! I was invited to The Pass at South Lodge recently to try their tasting menu. Wow, what a treat.
Finally, as we’re over half way through the month (really, how did that happen), it’s time to start planning September, so I’ve got a round up of just some of the things that are on in the county next month.
That’s it for now. Take care.
