Oysters, gardens, green men & East Grinstead

It’s been a busy week, and I’ve been from Hartfield (yes, I met a bear) and East Grinstead (where I met a guinea pig) to Brighton (where I met a lot of oysters) and Chichester (where I managed to leave my camera on my car bonnet – no, it did not survive the journey).

East Grinstead is our town of the month, and I have loved rediscovering its many quirks and qualities. There is a lot going on.  And talking of a lot going on, this weekend there are the Jack in the Green festivities in Hastings. Quite a spectacular festival, I am heading on over to join in the fun.

I was also recently invited to a Riddle and Finns’ Oyster Masterclass in Brighton. It surpassed all my expectations, was a lot of fun and left me with a renewed appreciation of molluscs. A great way to spend a morning.  But if all that sounds too much like hard work, I thoroughly recommend a visit to one of the many stunning NGS gardens open this May.

Finally, over on the business pages, Sharon Bolt has this month’s networking event review.

That’s it for now, have a great weekend. I am off to Normandy in pursuit of my man, William the Conqueror. I’ll let you know if I find him.
