Selsey, an epic walk, the best views and some bubbles.

So September is upon us, the schools have gone back and there is a freshness in the air. In fact, at the time of writing, it’s not so much freshness, as torrential rain with a side serving of thunder! But nonetheless, I have decided to throw myself wholeheartedly into the season.

With this in mind, let me recommend an epic walk I did last week. It is a long one (from Rye Harbour to Hastings Old Town) but I have included lots of links for shorter options to help you explore the area. It really is a gorgeous stretch of coast.

In the same vein, I’ve also got a round up of some of the best views in Sussex. Of course, this is subjective, so get in touch if you have a favourite I haven’t mentioned. But what better way to eek out the summer just a little bit longer than by watching the sun rise or set over the county.

Our town of the month for September is Selsey. It’s a completely different landscape to my Rye / Hastings walk but has lots of lovely quirkiness if you want to explore.

Finally, it’s nearly time for the Bubbles and Botanicals Fair. This is a wonderful celebration of Sussex sparkling wine and craft spirits and it’s a great opportunity to find out more about some of our producers.

That’s it for now. Have a good one and take care.
