Discover, explore and savour the best of Sussex

Sussex: Award-winning wine, peace doves, ruins and our town of the month!

Well, the weather seems to want to hang on to summer here in Sussex at the moment, which is fine by me. After all, it makes it all the more pleasurable to get out and explore.

And I’ve done some great exploring this week. The Peace Doves in Chichester Cathedral were my first stop and if you get a chance, do go and visit. They’re mesmerizing. And while in the west, I followed a recommendation and headed off for a walk via Racton Ruins and Stansted House. It’s a walk I’ve been meaning to do for a while, and it did not disappoint.

Heading back east, I returned to Newhaven, our town of the month, and a place I am becoming more and more fond of. There’s just so much going on in and around the town.

Finally, I rounded off the week with a visit to Ridgeview for some wine tasting and a little education. Each of our Sussex vineyards has its own unique vibe, and Ridgeview is no exception. They’re all about the quality there and it really shows.

That’s it for now. Enjoy the warm weather and don’t forget to get your tickets to the Bubbles and Botanicals Fair on the 25th November – a chance to taste Sussex sparkling wine and craft gin.
