Welcome to this week’s sunny Sussex offering.
Greetings all. I hope you’re enjoying the fabulous Sussex weather (and managing to dodge the occasional thunderstorm).
Sussex is at its absolute best at the moment and there’s so much to explore and enjoy. This week, I’ve spent a bit of time down on the coast and have explored Climping, Rottingdean, and Bexhill. All very different but all with lots to offer. If you love history, make time in your diary to visit the wreck of The Amsterdam in August and head to Rottingdean to follow in the footsteps of smugglers.
This week, Geoff Stonebanks from the NGS has some more stunning gardens to explore across Sussex including a rare chance to see Wiston House gardens near Steyning.
And if all that’s too much, head to the kitchen and try making this delicious panna cotta, courtesy of Sussex chef, Jacqueline Wise. And wash it down with a good Sussex wine – of course.
That’s it for now. I’m off to explore another section of the South Downs Way this weekend so I hope to see you out and about.
Take care.
Lucy
