Eek! How cold is it here in Sussex at the moment? As I type, I have my usual winter office working attire on … hat, gloves, two pairs of socks and a dog over my feet for good measure! Most of us in Sussex were surprised by Wednesday’s snowfall, and it has certainly kicked off winter with a frosty blast!
In other news, if you’re looking for a bracing but beautiful winter walk, head to Littlehampton and choose from one of three options. Or if you’ve started your Christmas shopping, check out my ideas and recommendations.
I know you love trees, and tomorrow is the start of National Tree Week. I’ve shared some of our top Sussex trees and also details of how you can get involved in a huge ancient and veteran tree hunt across a large part of Sussex.
Finally, this week, I caught up with Head Chef and owner of The Chequers at Rowhook to find out more about foraging for wild mushrooms, something I know he is passionate about! It’s another world out there.
The temperatures are set to rise over the weekend, but make sure you keep warm! Have a good one.
