The new look Alfriston, 48 hours in Lewes, wild garlic & 5 Brighton exhibitions

What a fantastic week of weather it’s been. Huzzah to less mud and more blossom, and it’s been lovely to see so many Sussex folk out and about.

In my news, last week I headed down to The Alfriston (formerly Deans Place). No prizes for guessing where it is. It’s been closed for refurbishment for a while so it was lovely to see it re-open and I was given such a warm welcome.

I’ve also been back and forth to Brighton as it’s our town of the month. There is always something going on there so I’ve rounded up 5 exhibitions you might want to see.  And good luck to everyone running the Brighton marathon this weekend.

If you’re feeling in need of a break, or just want to enjoy this fabulous weather, why not head over to Lewes District and try our 48 Hours In itinerary? There is so much to enjoy there.

Finally, if you’ve been out in the countryside recently, you may have noticed the abundance of wild garlic. It’s a fabulous addition to all sorts of dishes (although please do not dig it up) and this week we have a simple but super tasty wild garlic butter recipe for you.

That’s it for now. I hope you have a great weekend and enjoy the sunshine.
