Things to do, places to eat, castles & our town of the month

Well, we’ve made it to February at last and I think we all deserve a pat on the back. Better still, the first shoots of life are clearly visible, with lots going on in Sussex this month, and the first signs of snowdrops and daffodils.

So, as always, I’ve got an eclectic line up for you this week. I have some suggestions for things to do in February – it’s quite a diverse list so I hope you find something that tickles your fancy. SE has also teamed up with the We Love Brighton guide, to bring you their top 8 best places to eat in Brighton and Hove. And yes, I am tempted to try and eat my way around all 8!

Our town of the month this month is Crowborough, so I have been back over there exploring the town and the surrounding area. What a great excuse to also go walking on Ashdown Forest.

And last but not least, Hastings Castle re-opens this month. It’s one of my favourite castles, partly because of the views and partly because of its historical significance. It provides a good excuse to visit the Old Town and do some of the other things they have going on in Hastings.

That’s it for now. Have a great weekend,
