Discover, explore and savour the best of Sussex

Things to do, the South Downs Way, food festivals & dialect!

I’m back from my epic adventure along the South Downs Way. Thank you for all your support over on social media. I would do it again in a heartbeat.  Apart from being an incredible experience, I picked up lots of information which I’ll be sharing with you over the coming weeks for those who are tempted to walk the whole way or maybe just a small section of it! Because life up on the Downs is just too good not to share and enjoy.

I’ve also been back to Haywards Heath (town of my misspent youth) to check out what there is to do in and around the town, and don’t forget that this month is the Steyning Food & Drink Festival.

If you enjoy more cerebral pursuits, this week I’ve also got a little look at the Sussex dialect of days gone by, and it’s also time for our Sussex health feature which this month is about Cirrhosis (a condition of severe damage to the liver).

Meanwhile, I have itchy feet already! And I heard the Sussex Border Path is looking for a walker!

Take care.
