Wine & wildlife, cycle trails, horse racing & afternoon tea

High summer is fully upon us and the fruit trees and hedgerows are laden with bounty. It’s a wonderful time to explore Sussex.

This week, I have some great and diverse ideas for you. If you missed them in our magazine, you might want to check out some of our wildlife and wine suggestions. Sussex has a stellar selection of both and what a lovely way to get to grips with the county. Or, what about grabbing your bike and cycling the Cuckoo Trail? Sleepy and atmospheric, with coffee shops on route, it’s a great way to travel.

For high octane action, what about a day at the races? There is a great mix of flat and jump horse racing in Sussex (and we’ve also got some race day tickets to giveaway over on Facebook Instagram).

Finally, although I tend to think of afternoon tea as a winter indulgence, next week is actually National Afternoon Tea Week, so go on, treat yourself!

That’s it for now, enjoy!

Take care.
