Another week has flown by in a mixture of sunshine, storms and even hail. Yes, it’s definitely April but it is lovely to see the first green fuzz on the trees, and the bluebells and wild garlic have been amazing this week!
I survived my Serpent Trail walk last Thursday and although we didn’t have sunshine, we didn’t have rain either. I think this is my favourite section of the trail so far with so many interest points along the way. We covered 24 km.
Determined to break my legs completely, I then headed off to Beachy Head. I got there early to beat the crowds, climbed down to the beach and also visited the Beachy Head Story. It really is an extraordinary landscape.
One of my favourite Sussex sculptors is Leigh Dyer who is based in Hastings. Finding his sculptures in the area is always joyous so I’ve put together some details for you.
And finally, as our Sussex vines slowly burst back into life, I thought it’s time to start planning a few ways to discover and explore our Sussex Winelands. Hard to know where to start so I’ve just shared a few ideas.
