Worthing, wellness, weird stuff and fish!

Sussex has enjoyed some fabulous sunshine in the last week, and the whole county seems to have taken a collective deep breath. I’ve even seen my first bluebell of the year, and the wild garlic is well and truly on the up.

As it’s a new month, we have a new Town of the Month, Worthing, and it’s been wonderful to explore it under blue skies. In fact, it looks positively tropical in the sunshine! And I had forgotten how much Worthing has going on.

It is, of course, still Lent, so we should all be eating a moderate diet consisting mainly of fish. I’m not a huge fan of moderation, so with little more than a passing nod to Lent, I thought we might all want to enjoy the sunshine and head to the beach for a bite to eat at one of the county’s many seaside restaurants or cafés.

Having encouraged you to indulge, I shall also encourage you to take care of yourself. We have a great selection of different wellbeing experiences in Sussex, from the less conventional moonbathing to a more conventional spa. Take your pick and let’s get “summer ready”.

And when you’ve finished taking care of yourself, why not go in search of some “weird stuff“? There is plenty of it in Sussex, and it’s nearly always evocative.

Finally, I haven’t forgotten International Women’s Day, and we have our own Sussex Exclusive celebration of great local women!

Wow, that feels like a lot. Have a great weekend, one and all, and long may the sun continue to shine (even if the forecast isn’t actually great).
