Christmas Makers Market at Petworth House
Head to the Battery House Studio at Petworth House on the 29th /30th November 2025 for this fabulous festive market being hosted by Petworth House and Petworth Pop Up: Makers Market. You’ll find a range of beautiful handmade products including jewellery, homewares, textiles and art, and Petworth House will be opening late on Saturday 30 November, so you can see the house decorated for Christmas. Access to the market is free, but normal admission applies for entry to the House (free for National Trust members). Last entry to the House is 6 pm.
Top tip. Visit Petworth House and have a walk in the park and spot herds of deer. Perhaps even follow the Ancient Tree Trail.
Tottington Manor Hotel
Held at the foot of the South Downs on 21st November 2025, and full of atmosphere and festive cheer, this market includes the Christmas lights switch-on, is free and will have approximately 20 stalls.
Combine with an afternoon walk on the Downs.
Ardingly Winter Fair
Held at the South of England Showground in Ardingly (near Haywards Heath), the Ardingly Winter Fair 2025 will be held on the 22nd and 23rd November 2025 and promises arts, crafts and produce from independent and local vendors. Parking is free, tickets can be booked online, under 16s go free if accompanied by an adult (they will still need a ticket).
Combine with a visit to Wakehurst and the Glow Wild illuminations.
Weald and Downland Christmas Market, Singleton
This year the market will be held on the 22nd and 23rd of November 2025 from 10 am to 4 pm, with around 100 stallholders. Pre-booking is essential. Parking for this event will be at the Goodwood Cark Park D (PO18 0PJ) with complimentary shuttle buses. Disabled parking only at the Museum.
Whilst in this part of the world, visit West Dean, Halnaker and Boxgrove Priory, and enjoy amazing views with a walk at The Trundle.
Stayning Arts Christmas Gift Fair
Being held on the 6th December at The Steyning Centre. With lots of truly unique gifts, it is always a lively and well-attended event. Opening times are 10 am to 4 pm.
Petworth’s Christmas Cracker, Petworth
This festive makers market features high-quality artisan gifts. You’ll find a range of beautiful handmade products including jewellery, homewares, textiles and art. Saturday 6th December 2025.
Christmas Market at Seven Sisters
On the 6th and 7th December 2025 from 10 am to 5 pm, there will be a Christmas Market held in the Visitor Centre at Exceat just east of Seaford. From local produce, beer, honey, gifts, arts and crafts, this fair promises something for everyone.
Before or after your visit, head up to The Tiger Inn for lunch and beat the crowds with a walk at Friston Forest.
Camelia Botnar Christmas Market, nr Cowfold
Christmas gifts, crafts, stalls and more! Free entry, 29th and 30th November 2025.
Ashdown Radio Christmas Fair
Lots of stallholders are promised at this event which will be at East Sussex National Hotel near Uckfield on the 29th November 2025.
Don’t forget to search of Winnie the Pooh while you’re on the forest.
Grittenham Barn Christmas Market, near Petworth
Grittenham Barn is in between Midhurst and Petworth and as the name suggests, their Christmas market is held in their beautiful barn and rustic outbuildings. This year the market will be on 21st and 22nd of November with lots of different stalls and goodies.
East Grinstead Christmas Market
Being held on the 7th December 2025, 11 am to 3 pm in London Road. Market stalls selling Christmas gifts, food and entertainment. Make sure you combine this Christmas market with a visit to nearby Standen House – it’s a National Trust property and their display is inspired by the Beale family’s wishes for Christmas.
Christmas Market, Rye
This year, there will be a festive Makers Market at Rye Harbour on the 22nd and 23rd November 2025. There is also a Christmas in Rye Festival on the 6th December 2025.
Shoreham Christmas Market, The Shoreham Centre
A festive-fun day out for the whole family! Featuring over 50 of the very best makers, artists, creatives and small local independent businesses from across Sussex. Free entry. It’s on the 6th December 2025.
Burgess Hill’s brand-new Christmas Market
Taking place from 11th to 14th December in Church Walk, it promises 16 festive Alpine chalets that will create a magical and continental-style atmosphere right in the heart of town. There is also a beautifully styled market full of festive charm and community warmth. Each chalet will be decorated with garlands and festoon lighting, helping to create a magical and cohesive atmosphere throughout the space.
Crawley Down Christmas Market
Being held at the Haven Centre on the 30th November 2025, from 11.30 am. From the market, visit Tulleys Farm Christmas Festival or Nymans at Handcross.
Felbridge Christmas Market, Crowne Plaza
Being held on the 25th November 2025 from 11 am until 4 pm. Free entry. There will be face painting, gingerbread decorating, mulled wine, festive food, a treasure hunt, Santa and of course, lots of stalls.
Seaford’s Christmas Magic
On the 30th November 2025, the Seaford Christmas Magic event includes Christmas shopping market, local entertainment, free festive workshops, free Santa’s grotto, a winter wonderland lantern parade along with the Mayor of Seaford switching on the Christmas lights.
Horsham Christmas Markets
This English Christmas Market on the 21st of December is one of a number of markets being held in Horsham over the festive period against the atmospheric Carfax and the illuminated bandstand.
