What a week that was as we whistle towards February. I am sure Noah and his ark were seen sailing down the river Arun on Sunday night.
As Sussex hunkered down in the face of another storm (or two), I’ve been traversing the length of the county from the furthest western corner, right over to Rye in the east. And I have put together a selection of Sussex treats for you.
First up, in West Sussex, I have the second instalment of the fabulous Petworth Way walk (from Petworth to Arundel). It’s a real corker of a walk, and if you’re in the west of the county, why not also head to Chichester Cathedral. February sees the start of their Religion, Rebellion & Reformation exhibition, celebrating 950 years!
If you fancy heading east, what about spending 48 hours exploring the Rother District – home to Cinque Ports, vineyards, castles, an Art Deco museum and a mountain of history. And finally, if you’re just in the mood for a bit of romance, I have a whole heap of romantic Sussex ideas for you.
Well done if you made it through Dry January (I did not). Have a great weekend.
