Brilliant and Bold Conference

The events you look back on with fondness, invariably start with a grand idea. In my case, I thought it would be amazing to hold a fundraising event for Ten Little Toes Baby Bank, the West Sussex based charity, that provides a lifeline to struggling families and that thought morphed into the Brilliant and Bold Conference.

Brilliant and Bold Conference

The idea progressed when I was having my bedroom de cluttered by professional organiser, Katie Wellman, Make Room to Breathe. If you’ve read my previous columns for Sussex Exclusive, you’ll be up to speed with the story, so I won’t regurgitate it here. However, if you find yourself with time on your hands, do dip into my account of how my bedroom and kitchen transformed magically into zen zones, thanks to Katie’s tenacity and talent.

Little did I know that a few months later, I would be sitting in my kitchen with Katie (now my co-organiser of the event because every marketer needs a wing woman like Katie), Jo Jo, the founder of TLT, her sister and formidable fundraiser, Amanda and, the editor of Sussex Exclusive, Lucy Pitts.

Over coffee, croissants, and bananas, we fleshed out the non-profit one day business event that Katie and I are organising. The idea is to bring the business community together to network, learn from amazing speakers and raise awareness and funds for TLT and Moonstones, a charity that supports women fleeing domestic violence.
