As part of the Brilliant and Bold Conference, which is raising money for Ten Little Toes and Moonstones, we caught up with one of the speakers Janine Lowe, a Feng Shui guru and author of Feng Shui Your Way to Abundance, Janine Lowe, about Chinese astrology, dating, abundance and more.
How did your journey with Feng Shui begin?
Well, I’ve always been intuitive it’s just part of who I am. But back in the day, people didn’t really know what to do with that. In fact, they’d often recoil from it, which made it a bit lonely at times. Then, in my twenties, a dear friend of mine, Lizetta, introduced me to Feng Shui… and honestly, it was like something clicked.
At the same time, I was doing a photography course, focusing on buildings and suddenly, everything just came together. My intuition, my love of spaces, and Feng Shui… it all aligned so naturally. It felt like I’d found the missing piece and I’ve never looked back.
What inspired you to write your book Feng Shui Your Way to Abundance?
Well, like so many of us, 2020 completely changed how I worked. I couldn’t get out to see my lovely clients in person and for someone who’s used to walking through homes, feeling the energy, and helping people shift it in real time, that was a big adjustment.
So, I thought, “What can I do to still support them?” That’s when the idea came to me —I’d write a book that was simple, practical and easy to follow. Something that would guide people to Feng Shui their own homes, even if I couldn’t be there physically. I wanted it to feel like having me in the room with them with warmth, encouragement, and real tools they could use straight away. It became a real labour of love, and I’m so proud that it’s helping people create abundance and balance in their spaces, even during uncertain times.
Where does the biggest demand for your skills and Feng Shui expertise come from?
Honestly? It’s a real mix! On the private side, I work with people who want to bring harmony into their homes and manifest better love, health and abundance. And commercially, there’s growing demand from business owners, shops, spas, offices looking to boost energy, flow and profits through Feng Shui.
You recently established a Feng Shui academy. Could you tell us more?
Yes! After years of working with clients and running workshops, I decided to take the leap and officially launch the Janine Lowe Feng Shui Academy and I’m so excited about it.
It began quite organically. I started by teaching a small beta group of aspiring Feng Shui consultants, and honestly, they’ve been amazing. They are now out in the world doing incredible work and making their own mark. Seeing their growth and confidence made me realise it was time to open the doors to more people. So now, the academy is fully up and running, and anyone who’s curious about Feng Shui, whether they’re looking to become a consultant or just want to use it in their own life, can join. The best part? It’s designed to be flexible, so students can work through the course at their own pace, in a way that fits around their life.
What gives you the most satisfaction in your role?
Empowering people to shift their energy and bring abundance, balance, and joy into their lives, that’s what lights me up.
You are now a radio presenter for UK Health Radio lifting the lid on Feng Shui. Tell us about the people you interview and how you select them.
I love being on UK Health Radio! I choose guests I find interesting and inspiring, because if they spark my curiosity, I know they’ll spark my listeners’ too. It’s all about sharing conversations that uplift, inform, and empower people.
Walk us through your home and how you use Feng Shui to decorate and furnish it?
Oh goodness I could write a whole book on this! I use all the core Feng Shui principles in my home, and I adjust it every year to align with the Flying Stars. Everything is placed with intention to invite happiness, wealth and abundance. It’s a living, breathing space that evolves with the positive energy I bring in.
You have written other books on the subject of Feng Shui. Please tell us more!
Yes, I have! I wrote Date, Love, Marry, Avoid . It’s all about using Chinese Astrology to discover your best matches in relationships (and who to steer clear of!). I’ve also created a journal-style guide called Feng Shui for Your Space, designed to help people tune into their environment and shift the energy with ease and intention. Both are fun, practical, and full of insight!

What does the future hold for Janine Lowe?
I’m currently writing my next book, Manifest Your Way to Abundance, which I’m so excited about! I’ll also be running workshops on how to get what you want right now, using a blend of Feng Shui, energy work, and practical manifestation tools. It’s all about helping people step into their power and live with purpose.
