I hope wherever you are in Sussex, the weather is gradually getting better as we head deep into holiday season. As always, I’ve got a few ideas to help you make the best of our county in the forthcoming weeks.
As our town of the month, Battle is the perfect place for some holiday exploring and if you haven’t been, Battle Abbey is an absolute must. And I’ve added in a few links for other things to do in the area if you are headed that way.
August is also a great time to take to the water and Sussex Boat Trips run tours along the coast including to Seven Sisters, Brighton, and also the Rampion Windfarm.
And while you’re exploring the coast, one for the diary is the Walk the Chalk celebration in September which is a week-long event that includes walks, talks, performances, and more in and around the Seve Sisters!
Finally, what could be more Sussex than Banoffee Pie ice cream made from Sussex ice cream on a hot (hopefully) summer day? Thanks to Resident Pheasant for the recipe. Enjoy!
That’s it from me for now. See you next week.
