It’s Friday at last and time for this week’s newsletter.
What a week! It’s been a bit of a whirlwind metaphorically and literally!
First of all, a big thank you to everyone who joined us at the inaugural Bubbles and Botanicals Fair at South Lodge on Saturday! The feedback we’ve received so far is that a thoroughly good time was had by all and much fizz and a fair amount of gin were consumed! Excellent. Let’s do it all again next year.
As we creep ever closer to Christmas, the first of the big Christmas illuminations were lit this week and I headed over to Wakehurst and their Glow Wild event. Wow, I’ve been before but it was different this year and quite magical.
I’ve also been back to Worthing to explore their shops and was really impressed at the number of boutiques and independents. Great for Christmas shopping. I also did a walk that’s been on my list for some time, namely to the Nore Folly at Slindon. What’s not to love about a folly, and it’s a really beautiful spot.
I think you know my love of food and drink, so I was delighted to be invited to the opening of the recently refurbished Red Lion in Ashington near Worthing. What a great place for a long, lingering lunch.
And finally, Christmas is always a time for gathering in the kitchen (certainly at my house), so I am delighted to introduce Shaun Penticost (from Holmewood Interiors) who is a kitchen and interior design specialist. He’s got some good ideas for turning your kitchen into a place that supports your wellbeing as well as being a great place to hang out. So, if you’re thinking about your kitchen, it’s worth a look: Kitchen Design for Enhanced Wellbeing.
That’s it for now. Don’t forget, there’s lots more Sussex goodness in our free Sussex Exclusive Magazine.
Have a great weekend,
Lucy
