Seaford is a great destination for a number of things. First and foremost, has to be that it offers a wonderful gateway onto both the South Downs and the New England Coastal Path. But it’s also great for a bit of shopping in Seaford. So when you’ve done with the wonderful walks and tantalising trails, head back into the town and have a mooch around this selection of gorgeous shops that we found.

Sussex Art Prints
Sussex Art Prints sell unbelievably stylish art prints inspired by nature and the local surroundings. Their work includes limited edition prints, which are a wonderful and evocative reminder of the stunning Sussex coast.
Lara’s Boutique
A gorgeous independent boutique with beautiful and colourful displays and a splendid mix of fashion, accessories, homeware, jewellery and toiletries. I could have lingered here a long time.
Gallery Uno
This is the new Art & Craft gallery from the Sussex Arts Collective. Unfortunately, it wasn’t open when we visited but we had a good peak through the window and there is a wonderfully eclectic collection inside.

Onneke
Onneke is an illustrator and her beautiful, colourful work of the local countryside will lure you in (and for me, there was another octopus calling my name). Once inside, have a good browse because there are all sorts of other nick-nacks for sale. Onneke also sells from the pink beach hut on the seafront in the summer. Open Tuesday to Friday from 10.00 to 16.00 or via appointment.
Seaford Second-Hand Furnishings
Well, this one says what it does on the tin and is a great place for a good old rummage.

We loved our recent trip to Seaford. Everyone was so friendly, and there is some interesting history and architecture. So if you’re planning a walking weekend on the coast, add a stop in Seaford to your itinerary.
