Wonderful Christmas markets, Alfriston walks, Mars and Old Crocks

It’s been a week of glorious sunrises and autumn mists, combined with torrential rain and storms and I have enjoyed the best of all of them. On the way home from Chichester I explored Boxgrove Priory in the dark, I went walking at Wakehurst in Storm Ashley and I got up early to watch the sunrise and talk to the deer in Horsham. It’s been a wonderful week but what about looking forward?

Well, there is lots going. Next weekend is going to be fabulous and Handcross is the place to be! The Bubbles and Botanicals Fair is on Saturday at Handcross Park (currently a 2 for one offer on tickets. Book here: Bubbles) and there will be lots of fantastic tasting going on. The very next day is the iconic London to Brighton Run which goes through Handcross. I’ve got some suggestions for where to watch it. What a fabulous start to the month.

To further embrace the spirit of winter, Chichester Cathedral currently has the Mars installation which is very atmospheric. And although I don’t want to mention the C word, November is the season of the Christmas markets and so I have a round up of some of these for you.

If none of that floats your boat (what?), head over to Alfriston in East Sussex where I have a number of fabulous walk suggestions for you. And I almost forgot to mention that Neil Diamond is coming to town!

Don’t forget, the clocks change this weekend. Have a good one.

Take care.
