Festive food, frolics and footpaths

Welcome to this week’s newsletter, which is covered in tinsel and all things Christmassy!

I have thought long and hard about whether to send you a newsletter this time next week, which will be Christmas Eve.  And I have concluded that most of you will have much more exciting things to do. So this will be the last newsletter before Christmas although I will be back on the 31st full of New Year cheer.

With this in mind, I thought we better go out this week with a bit of a bang! So, with the melody of the 12 Days of Christmas firmly in the front of my mind, in this newsletter, I give you my 12 festive things to do (18 actually but I got carried away), 9 Christmas recipes, 6 Christmas walks, and a festive Red Lion review! Enough sustenance I hope to keep you well in body, mind, and spirit over the next two weeks!

That’s not quite all, as our resident health expert has also been beavering away and this month she’s got some helpful advice for those at risk of cataracts. Do check it out.

Well, that’s it from me for now. I hope, despite the shadow of Covid looming large over us all, that you manage to have a very happy Christmas, including time spent with friends and family and a little of “you” time. I’ll see you on the other side!

Happy Christmas!
