Welcome to this week’s newsletter, filled with fabulous Sussex ideas!
This week I have been gallivanting about again, so much so I’ve had to acquire a smaller car to save on fuel! I kid you not.
Having decided you can’t do Arundel justice without staying overnight, I’ve sourced three rather lovely places to stay. I’ve also been back in Brighton to visit the amazing new Regency Costume exhibition at the Royal Pavilion, and if you love all things Bridgerton and fashion, you’ll love it as much as I did.
Pevensey Castle blew me away. I had no idea the grounds were so impressive and the village of Pevensey is very pretty and packed with history and local interest. And whilst in the east of our county, I was delighted to find another great Sussex producer (I mean who doesn’t like the sound of booze-soaked smoked salmon) although it’s their new paté that lead me to The Pished Fish! Hmmm, I feel a wine pairing coming on, so watch this space!
I seem to have a diary full of eating and drinking events ahead, so I may need to resort to the bigger vehicle for a while. In the meantime, dust off the Sahara sand, we have some fine weather forecast. Have a great weekend.
